Can you feel it?
Spring has sprung! The almond blossoms are a "buzz," with the sound of bees and life! And the island again bears witness to the magical mystery of the Halycon days! A warm period like summer in Winter that opens up Spring life. Mother nature responds with a steady rain soaking the trees with much needed water - washing all in her path down to the rivers below.
Warm days turn to cold nights and we all worship the Goddess Artemis - protector of the woods in hopes she will help us feed our woodstoves at night with olive, pine, oak, and almond logs.
"Clean Monday," passes by filled with flat bread, fish roe, and simple salads - fun and frolic! The countdown has begun - 40, 39, 38 days until Pasxa - Easter - as the church bell gongs with the next liturgy teaching us all about the circle of life!
