Megali Triti
The Greeks call it "Big Tuesday," - of the "Megali Euthomada," the big week! I was beckoned to the village square by the megaphone announcing, "laloudia," (flowers) and "Octopodi," (octopus). Now, this is village life. Upon arrival Children were playing and the flower and octopus men were selling their goods. Easter is here and it's time to fill those baskets with shopping for the big event - "the resurrection!" Magic is in the air and it all takes place under the aromatic smell of the wisteria and it's purple haze!
In the background of this photo is "Louie," the shop owner and he stands at the door of his shop!
