The forever hurry up and wait - OTE - DEH Telephone & Electricity!
It's always a pleasure writing a blog - however, when you have to write it three times to get it onto your website - well to tell you the truth that becomes a major DRAG! Such is life in the remote village of Ipsilometopo! And anyone who knows me and my existence here knows that I call the telephone companies daily. I was on another provider forthnet - check the better communication blog earlier with RUMI dancers. I continue....
When it's raining and pouring then this task becomes a bit more daunting as everything including the collodio (lines) become really really wet. Add a snap, crackle and pop sound and then you get a little nervous since the line across the street which is hanging on by a small margin has the overhanging of pine needles within inches! These pine needles are connected to my tree!
So, I'm waiting... and waiting... and hopefully will be able to post this and also get the guys to fix the line!
It's 14:00 and as I write an UPDATE: - DEH arrives and says that's not our line it's OTE's... I say, "I know," but when you hear "sizzle sizzle," "don't you think we have a problem?"
My neighbor is next in the street and the guy rushes past me and to my neighbor, who has another problem.
OTE hasn't arrived yet, however, since I've changed over a month ago and have been calling daily - I think they are a bit sick and tired of me!
So moral of the story - keep on them because one day maybe just maybe they will fix the line!
Hey, Mr. OTE, I want you to be a guest on my radioblog - that's if I can get my line to work! Let's see if He or She comes?
Welcome to Greece where the forever hurry up and wait happens daily!
